Bedroom and wardrobe interior design in Pune

Sleep quality, storage volume and a wardrobe measured against what you actually own.

The bedroom is the room where interior design most often goes wrong in a specific way: too much light, too little storage, and a wardrobe sized from a catalogue rather than from a count of what you own.

We design bedrooms around three measurable things — hanging length, folded volume and the eye-level drawer reach — then build the lighting plan around sleep rather than around photographs.

Wardrobe planning that fits real clothes

A full-height hanging section needs 1,200 to 1,500 mm; shirt hanging needs about 1,000 mm; a double-hang section serves shirts above and trousers below. We count your actual wardrobe — sarees, long dresses, suits, folded stacks — and allocate sections from that count.

Loft storage above 2,100 mm is genuinely useful for luggage and seasonal items, provided you accept a stool. Many designs put the wrong things up there and the loft becomes dead volume.

Sliding or hinged shutters

Hinged shutters give full access and better sealing; sliding shutters save the 600 mm of swing space that a small Pune bedroom cannot spare. Sliding tracks need a clean floor and careful top-rail levelling — cheap tracks are the most common failure point in a wardrobe after two years.

Lighting for sleep, not for photographs

Layered lighting with separate circuits: a warm ambient layer on a dimmer, task lighting at the bed head that does not glare into a partner's eyes, and low-level night lighting on a motion sensor for the route to the bathroom. Cool white light at ceiling level is the fastest way to make a bedroom feel like an office.

Small bedrooms in Pune flats

Most Pune bedrooms are 10 to 12 square metres. In that footprint the bed orientation decides everything else. We test whether a storage bed earns its cost, whether the study can be a wall-mounted fold-down, and whether a corner wardrobe outperforms a straight run once door swing is counted.

Common questions

How much does a wardrobe cost in Pune?
A built-in wardrobe typically runs ₹1,600 to ₹3,500 per square foot of shutter area depending on carcass material, shutter finish, internals and hardware. A standard 6 by 7 foot wardrobe lands roughly between ₹55,000 and ₹1,40,000 in most Pune projects. Sliding systems add cost for the track and shutter weight.
Is a walk-in wardrobe possible in a Pune flat?
Yes, if a bedroom is at least 13 square metres or a small adjoining room can be absorbed. In most 2BHK and 3BHK flats a well-planned full-height run plus a dressing niche delivers more usable storage than a cramped walk-in.
How deep should a wardrobe be?
600 mm internal depth for standard hangers. Below 550 mm, clothes sit at an angle and the doors will not close cleanly on a full section. We fix depth before deciding shutter type, because sliding shutters need additional clearance.
