Quiet Luxury — 4BHK Bungalow, Prabhat Road
A deep plot on Prabhat Road with mature trees and, consequently, very little direct light. The design leaned into it: warm materials, low-level lighting and art placed where the light actually lands.

A family with a substantial art collection and a preference for restraint. They explicitly did not want a showpiece interior, and they did want the house to be quiet.
What we changed
- Restricted the palette to three materials — teak, lime plaster and natural stone — so the art carried the colour.
- Designed art lighting as a separate circuit with adjustable spots aimed at the actual works, not evenly across the wall.
- Commissioned custom joinery for the library and dining rather than specifying from a catalogue.
Outcome
The palette has held up through a Pune monsoon cycle without a single finish failing, which is the test the clients cared about most.
